Dr. Lital Daches Cohen

I received my Ph.D. in Learning Disabilities from the University of Haifa, under the supervision of Prof. Orly Rubinsten. My research takes a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the interplay between emotion regulation, executive functions, and emotional responses, with a particular focus on math anxiety. Specifically, I investigate how emotional reactions to mathematical content relate to math performance, as well as the impact of training and emotion regulation strategies on learning. My work aims to bridge the gap between cognitive neuroscience and educational practice, contributing to the development of evidence-based interventions for learners with math-related difficulties. I also hold an M.A. in Learning Disabilities, a teaching certificate in Special Education, and a B.A. in Special Education and Human Development and Counseling, all from the University of Haifa. Currently, I teach in the M.A. program in Learning Disabilities at Bar-Ilan University and work as a didactic diagnostician and a specialist teacher for remedial instruction.
